ROSA® Grain Charm manufactures a variety of ROSA (Rapid One Step Assay) tests to detect mycotoxins (aflatoxin, DON/vomitoxin, fumonisin, ochratoxin, T-2/HT2, and zearalenone) in feed and grain. Utilizing innovative ROSA technology, Charm lateral flow mycotoxin tests are easy to use and provide rapid, quantitative results. All ROSA mycotoxin tests follow a similar assay format and can be read on the same equipment.
Water Extraction Technology (WET) for Mycotoxin Testing Methanol and ethanol may be replaced with water to extract mycotoxins using Water Extraction Technology (WET). WET uses a non-hazardous powder added to the sample followed by water to extract mycotoxins. The WET method has been tested with various mycotoxins and commodities. ROSA BEST Aflatoxin Qualitative Test
The ROSA BEST Aflatoxin P/N Test is the first rapid test for the detection of aflatoxin using a water-based extraction solution.
Until now, aflatoxin detection in corn has required the use of hazardous extraction solvents such as ethanol or methanol. Charm’s BEST (Biodegradable Extraction Solution Technology) aflatoxin qualitative lateral flow test uses an aqueous-based extraction solution that is safe for test operators and the environment.
The BEST solution is non-toxic and non-flammable, ensuring a low environmental impact, and has reduced storage, shipping and disposal costs compared to alcohol extractions.
