Charm Sciences Hosts Executives From Brazil For Dairy Safety Seminar

Week Long Summit Allows Exchange of Ideas, Experiences and Best Practices

Lawrence, MA – Charm Sciences recently hosted a contingent from Brazil at its Andover, Massachusetts facility. During their week in the US, the participants discussed international systems for dairy safety and chemical residue control, hygiene management, and process verification, and received hands-on technical training in Charm Sciences’ state-of-the-art facility.

Charm Sciences worked with local dairy facilities to allow field visits for these guests. This provided invaluable experience in learning how US milk producers and processers manage dairy quality along the value channel from farm to consumer. The trips to local dairy farms focused on milk quality improvement and animal health and feed management while trips to milk testing laboratories offered insight into quality and safety monitoring and control systems. Seminar topics and visit discussions covered feed and herd management, milking, milk transport, sanitation, residue testing and end-product testing.

“First of all I would like to thank the company, Charm Sciences, for opening the door to its factory and all knowledge acquired in the 3-day visit,” stated Fernando Carvalho Leite, Industrial Manager at Quatá Alimentos. “I was impressed by the structure, control and all scientific research behind the Charm products. I could clarify doubts and even change technical concepts with the knowledge and studies presented by the team at Charm. The image that remains is for reliability, credibility and safety at work which is certainly reflected in their products and services offered.”
