Charm Antibiotic Tests for Water
waterCharm Sciences’s Charm II and KIS tests offer unique rapid solutions to detect antibiotic and anti-microbial drugs in water and waste water.
Some common use applications include:

• Pharmaceutical manufacturers that want to ensure surface rinses are free of specific antibiotics

• Public health authorities that need to ensure that drinking water is not contaminated with antibiotics that may have leached their way in from agricultural, medical or pharmaceutical sources. Even consumers who flush outdated or unused antibiotics drugs can be a source for what EPA classifies as “Emerging Contaminants”.

• Antibiotics used in agriculture are known to leach from animal waste to surface and ground water. Environmental agencies and academia use Charm tests to survey antibiotics in many types of water. The research is primarily related to the emergence of strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
