REGULATORY LEVELS & TOLERANCES
EU: Enrofloxacin is detected at or below the EU MRL (Maximum Residue Level) of 100 ug/kg total enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin as approximately 55-85% of the enrofloxacin remains as enrofloxacin and the remainder is metabolized into ciprofloxacin and other metabolites in muscle tissue.
US: A tolerance of 100 ppm for desethylene ciprofloxacin (marker residue) has been established in liver (target tissue) of cattle.
