Charm SL KIWI Test for Milk The Charm SL Kiwi test is a rapid beta-lactam test in milk that is specifically manufactured to detect cefalonium (cephalonium) closer to the EU MRL (20 ppb) in milk. Existing rapid beta-lactam test kits detect this dry cow administered drug at overly sensitive levels, typically below 5 ppb. The Charm SL Kiwi test detects cefalonium residues at 15.3 ppb in milk, which is a better match to established microbial inhibition assays, and a fairer test to the dairy producer. The Kiwi test is approved by New Zealand Food Safety Authority for tanker screening.
Typical brand names Cefalonium
Cepravin is a registered trademark of Intervet / Schering-Plough Animal Health.
