Charm SL Aflatoxin M1 Quantitative Test for Milk >> Available in kits of 20, 100, or 500 tests
The Charm SL Aflatoxin Quantitative Test is the only quantitative lateral flow test that detects the presence of aflatoxin M1 in parts per trillion (ppt) in raw commingled milk. It is designed to meet the US FDA action limit of 500 ppt (0.5 ppb) aflatoxin M1. The Charm test is read on the same equipment as other ROSA tests. The milk sample is diluted and added to the test strip, incubated, and accurate ppt results are read in seconds.

REGULATORY LEVELS & TOLERANCES The current US FDA action limit for Aflatoxin M1 in milk is 500 ppt (0.5 ppb). With the SLAFMQ Test, the threshold (or control point) that determines a positive or negative result is 400 ppt. To give safety assurances that a 500 ppt sample is not passed as negative, a 100 ppt safety margin is applied and sample is retested in duplicate. Any sample with both retests measuring greater than 400 ppt is interpreted as positive.
The precision of the quantitative reading is ±150 ppt. This is comparable or better than HPLC. The accuracy of a triplicate average is 50 ppt.
