Charm’s PasLite test is the leading alkaline phosphatase test employed by dairy industry worldwide. The Paslite is the fastest available phosphatase method because no reagent preparation or warm-up time is required, and multiple samples can be run simultaneously. The PasLite test delivers accurate, precise and economical detection for alkaline phosphatase in just three minutes, and with a limit of detection of 20mU/L, Paslite is an excellent fit for dairy HACCP as it determines pasteurization problems long before they reach a level of critical concern. The Paslite test is a chemiluminescence based EPAS method run on most Charm luminometer systems, e.g., the novaLUM®, which offers additional diagnostic tests, e.g., for ATP surface hygiene (Pocketswab® Plus), and allergen control programs (AllerGiene®).

The Charm CHEF® (Cooking Heat EFficiency) test is the first single use, post process indicator of compliance with the food time/temperature profile.
Designed to quickly detect uncooked meat in cooked products, the Charm CHEF test measures phosphatase activity as an indication of meat "doneness". In the cooking of meat tissue, acid phosphatase destruction closely compares with E.coli reduction.
