CNIEL Complete Study on Milk Antibiotic Tests

CNIEL, the French National Interprofessional Centre de l’economie Laitiere, recently completed a study of various rapid antibiotic test kits for the screening of milk collection tankers in dairies.

The objectives of the study were:

  • Evaluate and compare the different performance tests available in the market that could be used in dairies in the application context of the interprofessional agreement.
  • Identify best practices of use of rapid tests for optimal implementation in dairies and improve understanding of the results obtained from these tests.
  • Collect the opinions of users of the practicality of implementing tests detection.
