Charm Sciences Hosted a Group for a Weeklong Dairy Safety Seminar
Lawrence, MA – Charm Sciences hosted a group of customers and distributors from around Asia for a weeklong Dairy Safety Seminar. Charm welcomed guests from Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Taiwan.
The visit was an opportunity for the customers and distributors to learn more about Charm and the American and international dairy markets through seminars, discussions, hands on laboratory demonstrations.
Presentations and laboratory demonstrations focused on Charm tests used in dairy production, including antibiotic tests, ATP sanitation hygiene monitoring tests, the EPIC system, and Peel Plate microbial tests and the Peel Plate Colony Counter. Additionally, the seminar participants were able to see many of these tests in use at several dairy plants and farms around Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York that hosted the group throughout the week.
Participant Tshung-Hung Hung of Uni-President Enterprises Corp. wrote about the lasting value of the Dairy Seminar, “The professional content helps us to greatly increase our practical experience for dairy safety. For example, the QC of Uni-President uses many kinds of Charm’s antibiotic residue tests, such as beta-lactams, tetracycline, sulfonamides and Chloramphenicol; with this training we can better understand the principles and the methods of operation. The temperature and humidity are high in Taiwan, there are more cow diseases and more drugs being used, so the antibiotic residue testing is very important.”
